Beginning with a broken pair of Snow Boots, I was forced to think first about restoration, then aesthetics.
The yellow stitching around the left toe-box repaired the separating materials. After establishing this aesthetic, I sought ways to carry the motif throughout the shoe.
I added ankle straps with a clip at either end to accommodate further lacing. The strap was wrapped around the existing heel tab and sewn together using the same yellow thread.
